Equipment Audits

​Carrying out an annual kitchen equipment audit is vital to the efficiency of any food service operation and cannot be underestimated. It's therefore vital to ensure catering operations and equipment are up to the required and latest standards, mitigating any breakdowns.


Our inspection service seeks to evaluate the following:


  • Equipment conditions and maintenance  
  • Equipment cleanliness and lifetime 
  • Equipment compliance and legality, ensuring equipment is CE approved
  • Health and safety, including food safety and hygiene practices 
  • Compliance of assets and their environment
  • Safety of equipment – e.g provision of devices to facilitate shut-off in an emergency
  • Gas safety, including regulations and both sound and leak tests of each asset
  • Layout, floor, lighting, ventilation and machine stability efficiency
  • Refrigerator safety
  • Costs of any required equipment replacements
  • Assest evaluation 


Our reports can be used to provide a case for any asset replacements, budgeting and to highlight both energy savings and CO2 reductions. 


A typical report includes:

  1. Detailed findings from our on-site inspection
  2. Reviews of all operational procedures and layouts
  3. Details of compliance and any non-compliance in respect of all assets and their dedicated environments
  4. Recommendations regarding asset compliance 
  5. Recommendations to reduce energy and CO2 
  6. A conclusion to all current health and safety, food safety, hygiene practices, preparation machinery regulations and gas safety regulations etc
